Winning

My leadership coach asked me who I had an impact on last week? I immediately thought about certain team members and some customers that I helped find solutions for their health. But that quickly I thought, "Nah" I'd sound like I'm bragging if I said that. But I decided to just say something vague like, "helped customers discover a great value with our BOGO deals last week and find some new oils that would help them". And admitted to my coach that it was hard to talk about my impact without feeling like I was bragging?

She asked me how my impact would help my team if they knew? hmmmmm I took a few minutes to about that. I think how it would impact them is that they know I'm doing the same work as them. They will be inspired. They will know we are doing this together. They will know that I'm leading myself first.

Why is that?  Why do you think it's so hard for us to identify and share our wins--big or small? Aren't we proud of our accomplishments? Well, of course, we are. But sometimes our brains go right to what didn't go well. We need to work on that and change how we think.

It was right after that (within an hour or so) I just got done talking to a friend that I hadn't talked to in a while. I helped her discover oils that she was very much needing for her health. She was so thankful that I reached out to her (and I didn't even know she wasn't feeling well) and we started talking about other things and catching up. It was such a nice conversation and she left our conversation feeling hopeful. IMPACT BABY!

What were your wins last week and who did you have an impact on? I really want to know because I want to celebrate YOU!!!
